 Report 4

Our evening in Port Macquarie was enjoyable. We stayed at a nice little motel, the Port of Call, run by a Lion who's brother is a Rotarian. He supported us with a discount and his recommendation for good, but cheap pizza, complete with discount coupons.

Port of Call We gave him ride a supporter pin, along with a City of Augusta pin and he commented that he was placing them on his Lion's vest and was carrying our story of Polio to his club and the community.
We arrived in Sydney the next afternoon to be home-hosted by local Rotarian Chris Curtis and his wife June. They graciously provided us with advice and Australian Rotary contacts, in addition to the use of their home, phone, and computer-internet. Chris is a member of Rotary's International Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians (IFMR) and Home Hosting network. Chris will escort us when we ride out  Monday morning headed for Canberra, Australia's Capitol City.

Computer and internet access was most welcomed, as we have been having a devil of a time getting this web page updated... due to poor connections. On a trip to visit downtown Sydney, Bill discovered a way to add to trip funding.

Service Above Self

I learned in an email today that Nigeria is receiving a loan of $28 Million from the World Bank for the battle against Polio, and that it is expected that Pakistan will receive $20 Million later in May.
